A Text Messaging Approach to Learning in Chemistry

Students often report using ineffective study techniques and could benefit from using techniques that support learning. Overall, this project utilized text messaging to support evidence-based study practices in a general chemistry course. Specifically, students received daily quiz questions on their phones, which supported and encouraged practice testing, distributed practice, interleaved practice, and metacognition.
