This phenomenological study investigated the lived experiences of students who identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ community at a conservative Christian university. Students who were currently enrolled at the institution were interviewed to gain a wider perspective of how the climate of the university affected their sense of belonging. The purpose of this study was to discover possible recurring themes of belonging in areas of academics, chapel opportunities and residential learning. The university is a Christ-centered community and through their statement they commit to loving and supporting students. This research allowed LGBTQ+ students to express their voices and the ways in which they felt marginalized and/or accepted on their campus.
