Deconstructed Memory

Our thoughts and memories consist of layers which, when combined, create a full picture. Sometimes, when we pull those layers apart each section makes sense by itself; other times we look at our ideas from a different perspective and they begin to fall apart. Each layer of a memory is both textured and dynamic but doesn’t always make sense without context. My work aims to look at my memories and ideas, break them apart, then learn how the parts of a whole work together but also how they function apart.
