6. Computational Docking Investigation of Purine Scaffolds Toward Combating Gram-negative Drug-resistant Bacteria

This project involves insilico molecular docking via Autodock Vina of a series of purine scaffolds designed to inhibit enzymes within drug resistant gram negative bacteria. These compounds are designed to enter gram-negative bacteria and inhibit two different bacterial enzymes essential for bacterial cell replication. Dual targeting in inhibition reduces the probability of bacteria to develop resistance which is one of the greatest challenges currently facing our world.
